Adobe Photoshop is undoubtably one of the most widely used software applications in the world. It’s hard to imagine a world without Photoshop in 2019 and learning how to use it could be extremely beneficial to you. The possibilities are endless! With Photoshop, you can..
- make your own logos if you’re starting your own business
- edit your own pictures, which could ultimately bring you more likes on instagram (just don’t go overboard with this one)
- get creative by learning how to create personalized holiday cards for you friends and family. That’s a personal favorite of mine.
You wouldn’t need to hire someone to do it for you! Believe it or not, you don’t have to spend a whole lot of bread learning how to use this software. There are many sites that offer awesome courses for very cheap, some are even free! Get started today by checking out some of these courses and videos. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
1. Youtube
That’s right, Youtube. If you’re anything like me, you tend to search and scroll on youtube for long periods of time without even realizing it. When you’re bored and you’re scrolling through Youtube, ever thought to search for Photoshop tutorials?
Youtube contains a wide variety of Photoshop tutorial videos to choose from, whether you’re a beginner or a boss at this shit. And the best thing about it is that they’re 100% FREE!
Pros: It’s Free!! And easy to access.
Cons: You will experience a ton of commercials during the video. With a free account, you know they will try to kill us with the ads. But while the ads are playing, just take some time to play around in Photoshop.
2. Udemy
Udemy is an online learning and teaching marketplace with over 80000 courses and 24+ million students. There are numerous courses on Adobe Photoshop which you must pay for but if you want to start with a free course, check this out: “Learn Adobe Photoshop from Scratch”.
It is 8 hours of freeness! And judging by the reviews, it is highly recommend for beginners.
If you don’t mind dropping a lil bit of cheese on these courses, there are several other courses available. The good thing about Udemy is the fact that they have sales on their courses often. Currently, all courses are on sale for $9.99. New Year, New Prices! It’s the perfect time to learn something new that’s worth learning! Check out these classes below that are only 9.99:

Pros: Once you enroll in a course, you can complete it at your own pace and you have lifeline access to the course. Usually the instructor has a Q and A board to answer any questions you may have.
Cons: Anyone can be an instructor on Udemy, so some of them are a bit sketchy. Be sure to read the reviews before purchasing any course. It will give you a better idea of what to expect.
3. Adobe Photoshop Tutorials
Although Adobe Photoshop is not free, they somewhat make up for it by offering free tutorials on https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/tutorials.html. It’s very well put together, having all topics separated from beginner to advanced. There is also a search option, making it easy to find specific topics you’re looking for.

Pros: It is FREE! Videos are clear and they provide a written step by step guide under each video.
Cons: No cons really in my book, its actually pretty awesome.
4. Lynda
Lynda, also known as LinkedIn Learning, is similar to Udemy. The difference is on Lynda you pay a subscription fee once a month to access all the courses they provide. After doing some research, I found that this site is one of the best sites for people who want to learn photoshop for a professional use. There is a free month trial period where you gain access to 13,000+ courses with a single subscription.
You better make the most out of that trial and learn as much as you can!
After the trial, if you still would like to have access to the courses, the subscription starts at $24.99 a month and you can cancel anytime. That’s not too bad; Definitely something you should consider if you are serious about learning Photoshop.
Pros: Extremely professional courses for people who are serious about being a MASTER in Photoshop.
Cons: If you are paying $24.99 a month but not dedicated to using it to your full advantage, it could end up being a waste of money.
7. Envato Tuts+
Tuts+ is another self-paced learning site for you busy people who would like to learn in your spare time. Tuts+ does have courses you can pay for, but unlike Udemy, the selection of free tutorials is extensive!
Pros: A plethora of free courses!
Cons: I got nothin, you can’t go wrong with free courses!
I hope this helps you decide it’s time to get out there and learn how to use photoshop because IM TELLING YOU – learning Photoshop is what will make you a cut above the rest.
