Free Snapchat Geofilter Designs You Can Customize Yourself!

For those who need a little inspiration.

If you’re a Snapchat junkie like me, you can agree that SnapChat geofilters are probably the best thing that SnapChat ever invented. Not only are they fun but they make memories even more memorable. I’m here to help those who want to make their own filters but don’t know where to start. I’ve put together a couple a few templates that are simple that anyone can work with, even if you are a beginner. They open right into Photoshop as a .psd file so you can edit it however you like.

Before jumping in, let me first explain the most important thing you need to know before editing in Photoshop. One word: LAYERS! These images are just a series of Layers. If you’ve never worked with Photoshop before, you will see what I mean once you start editing using my steps.

It’s also important to note that all of these templates come with a black background layer that needs to be deleted before saving and uploading to Snapchat. The background is there just to give you a view of what your filter will look like on the darkest background and also make it easier for you to see what you are creating without working directly with the transparent background.

Templates.

Click the links below to jump to the template you’d like to use and:

  1. Wedding Template
  2. Graduation Template
  3. Birthday Template

Or click here for steps rto uploading your Snap filter to SnapChat.

Editing Wedding Template.

This template can be used to create a cute little simple wedding filter for your or a friend’s wedding.

Click here to download the template and open it in Photoshop.

This template consists of 9 layers:

  1. Transparent Layer – Main Layer
  2. Black background layer (To Be Deleted Later)
  3. Rings
  4. Blur Effect
  5. Text – “Sue”
  6. Text – “Chris
  7. Text – “and”
  8. Text – “Celebrating
  9. Hearts

For this template, I used a pinkest color but you can easily update the colors to anything your heart desires. It can be your favorite color or the wedding colors, your choice!. In this example, I’m going to update my colors to gold and white.

Updating the colors

To start updating the colors double click on the [T] icon to select the text in the “Chris” layer.

Your text will become highlighted. Next, click the top color in the color panel and choose the color you would like to update your text to. (See image below) After you’ve chosen your color, click ‘OK’.

Your text will be updated to the color that you chose. You should also update the colors of “and” and “Sue” to be the same color. Select “Sue” layer, click the top color again and click ‘OK’. Since you already have the color that you want set as your top color, no need to select the color again.

After changing the colors of my text, here’s how mine came out:

Now let’s update the color of the hearts. Select the ‘Hearts’ layer and then click the ‘fx’ button at the bottom of the layers display and select the Gradient Overlay option.

Selecting the ‘Hearts’ layer
Click the ‘fx’ button and select ‘Gradient Overlay…”

Click the Gradient color field to bring up the ‘Gradient Editor’ , Select the stop color (boxed in red below) and click ‘Color’ (also boxed in red below)

Select Gradient Color
Select Stops color by clicking the button just left of the word ‘Stops’
Select your color.

Use the eye dropper to select the color that we used for our text. To do that, simply click on your ‘Chris’ text. This will make it so much easier to choose the exact same color that you have as your text.

Click ‘OK’ until all the windows that were opened are closed.

Updating the text

Editing the text is the easiest part. Double tap on the [T] icon again of the text you would like to edit. Once text is selected, click within the field to edit the text. If your font is to big, use the text editor at the top of the screen to edit the size. Also if you need to reposition the text, select the text and click slightly right of the text.

I updated my text to 2 other random love birds:

Also, I noticed the rings were a bit hard to see, so I made them more visible my changing the Opacity. To do that, select the ‘Rings’ layer and slide the bar on the Opacity to make it higher. I set mine to 77%.

Check out the final product:

Editing Graduation Template.

This template can be used to create a filter to be used at your graduation party or the ceremony.

Click here to download the template and open it in Photoshop.

This template consists of 5 layers:

  1. Transparent Layer – Main Layer
  2. Black background layer (To Be Deleted Later)
  3. Grads!
  4. Year
  5. University Name

NOTE: I am using customized fonts that I paid for so the fonts that I’m using will not show up in your Photoshop when you open it. However, Adobe does a pretty good job with trying to match the fonts with whatever you have. If you’re not feeling the fonts, go to a free font download website and download some. There are so many free websites out there that will get you right.

Updating the colors to match your school

Similar to the template above, updating the colors is fairly easy! Let’s first update the color of the grads. For this example, I’m going to update it to my school which colors are Red, White and Black.

First, I’m going to select the ‘Grads!’ layer. Then select ‘fx’ at the bottom of the screen and select ‘Color overlay’.

In the Layer Style window, select the color you want to update your grads to. For this example, I’m going to select Red.

If you wanted to update the color of your outline, you can do so by selecting the ‘Stroke’ option. You can update the color and the px size of your outline. I’m going to leave this one as is. Let’s update the text.

Updating the year

Select the ‘2019’ layer and change the color to white.

Keep in mind that the blue outline is still there, so we need to update that as well to match our school colors. I’m updating mine to Red. To update your color, go back to the ‘fx’ button I keep telling you about. Select ‘Stroke’ and update the color to the color of your choice.

Here’s how my final filter came out:

UL!!!

You can play around with it, add more text if you like, etc.

Just make sure you delete that black layer before you save your new filter!

Editing Dirty 30 Template.

This template can be used to create a filter to be used for a birthday celebration, or just anything where there’s wine involved.

Click here to download the template and open it in Photoshop.

This template consists of 6 layers:

  1. Transparent Layer – Main Layer
  2. Black background layer (To Be Deleted Later)
  3. Wine and brush
  4. Text – Chelsey
  5. Text – “Dirty”
  6. Text – “30”

For this template, you can just update the text to whatever you’d like. I personally love this one because of the wine glass and paint splashes.

Updating the text

Update the name clicking the [T] of the ‘Chelsey’s’ text layer. This will highlight your text. Update the name to the name of your choice. I updated mine to ‘Patrick’s’.

I decided to switch it up a little. I updated my ‘Dirty’ text to ‘Happy’ and my ’30’ to ’21’. Next, I moved the texts around. I selected each text and dragged them to the position I wanted it to be. It came out like this:

Lastly, I want to add the ‘st’ to the end of 21. To add text, click the text option in the left toolbar. Click at the top of the image to create a new text tool. Select your font and size that you would like to add. I’m going with the same font I have as ‘Happy”. Position your text where you would like it.

As you can see, this created a new text layer.

And there you have it! You can update your texts and move them around however you see fit. Here’s how mine came out:

Posting your Snap filter to Snapchat

Once you finish editing your snap filter, DELETE THE BLACK BACKGROUND layer before saving. To do that, simply highlight the layer and click ‘Delete’. Save your new file as a .PNG. You can then upload it easy by following these steps:

  1. Go to https://www.snapchat.com/create/submit.html
  2. Select ‘Geofilter’
  3. Click ‘Upload’ to upload your .PNG filter image. Select your freezing cool filter.
  4. Select a date range you want your filter to span.
  5. Select the place and range in which you want your filter to be available for snappers.
  6. Enter in your payment information and wait for confirmation.

Filters are accepted or rejected in a reasonable amount of time; they will email you once approved. As long as you don’t have anything offensive or any personally information in the filter such as first name and last name or a social media screen names, you should be fine! More templates to come.

Best FREE Alternatives to Adobe Photoshop

It’s no secret; photo and graphic editing has become imperative in this generation. We use it for everything! Whether it’s to create a logo for our business, or to create snapchat filters for your event. It’s a necessity. Adobe Photoshop is one of the most powerful applications today that’s being used by professional photographers and designers. It’s so heavily used that the word Photoshop can now be found in the dictionary listed as a verb.

To Photoshop or Not To Photoshop? That’s the obvious questions here.

With that being said, I’ll let you in on a little secret:

There’s a way to photoshop without spending any money.

I am a huge fan of Adobe Photoshop, however, I enjoyed the application more when I wasn’t paying a monthly fee for it. I dropped about $200 dollars for the application to have forever and could use it whenever I wanted. Now, no matter how much you use it, you are charged monthly to keep the application (Starting at about 29.99 depending on what plan you choose). As a working woman, I found myself paying for it without having time to use it. So I feel that free alternatives to Adobe Photoshop are a blessing.

Here are 5 graphic editing tools you can use for free. Take a moment to look through the tutorial videos I have posted under each one. That may help you decide which application you want to download if you are trying to go with only one from the list.

1. GIMP

GIMP is by far the best alternative for Photoshop. It is flexible and super easy to use. Not to mention it is free of charge, whether you are on a PC or a mac book. Its remarkable features allows users to create artwork from scratch and easily fine tune images. You will be surprised at how professional your photos come out looking after being edited in this application.

If you are a beginner in Photoshop and need a quick tutorial on how things work in this application, you should watch this video:

2. Canva

Canva is an online design solution that offers a plethora of powerful features, including a simple drag-and-drop design tool and a vast collection of over 1 million photographs, graphics, and fonts. It gives users a very simple design platform that enables them to create amazing and professional quality graphic designs.

Check out this video for a guide that simply explains Canva:

3. Pixlr

Pixlr is another web-based photo editing tool that is free and easy to use. This app is intended for non-professional editing, however, with the right skills, the advanced features can make your image look just as though it was edited in Photoshop.

There are several versions available, including web, desktop and mobile apps. Here we’re looking at the Pixlr Editor web app, which is the only one that supports layers.

Check out the tutorial:

4. Inkscape

Inkscape is a great free application for creating vectors (those scalable graphics that won’t get blurring when you resize them). It’s extremely adaptable and powerful, and an excellent tool for graphic designers. It’s so good, that it’s a serious alternative to premium tools like Adobe Illustrator. This application would be great for creating your own SnapChat filters. Check out the tutorial below:

5. SumoPaint

Sumo Paint is yet another application that is completely free. Its interface presents a comprehensive set of photo editing tools that you wouldn’t expect to get for free.  Its variety of brushes, brush effects, and brush styles make a good impression on any digital artists. Every simple feature provides tons of options. Sumo paint also features layering tools that help you create professional looking images. There are also plenty of image filters and adjustments that enable you to create beautiful images.

Check out this tutorial on Sumo Paint that gives a walk through for beginners:

Not free but worthy of being mentioned

6. Paint Shop Pro

If you are looking for an alternative that’s not free but also not TOO expensive, you should definitely try Paint Shop Pro. This is the first application that I used when I first started out with graphic design. It is a classic! Back in the day (I say that like I’m so old), Paint Shop Pro was the application to use, not Adobe Photoshop!

Check out the tutorial below:

I hope this post was helpful to those who don’t want to spend a fortune to have beautifully photoshopped images! Leave a comment if you know of any other alternatives better than the ones listed.

Paint Outside The Box: Challenge Three

Paint your own reality

Since Valentine’s Day is less than a month away, I’m giving you guys one more challenge to do. For those who aren’t familiar with my other paint outside the box challenges, long story short – I’m going to show you how to create a dope Valentine’s Day card with using only Microsoft Paint and a printer. The reason I’m doing this is to show you how you can be creative with what you have. You don’t need to purchase your Valentine’s day cards this year, you can make your own! Research has shown that people are more happy when they receive something personally made by a loved one. Make your significant other feel special this year!

Here’s the card we will be making today:

Note: If you want it to look more like the google logo, you’re going to have to download a font in this challenge. It’s quick and easy, I promise. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Choose the beige color and draw a box on your canvas to fill it with that color

First, you’re gonna want to choose the beige color from the color pallete for both color 1 and color 2. For your fill, choose ‘Solid’. Select the box shape and draw a box to cover the whole canvas with that color. Simple enough right? How’s it lookin’ so far?

Step 2: Download the font

You can skip this font if you can’t download this on the computer you’re using or if you just don’t want to. The font we’re going to use to the Google logo will be a little different from the real logo. The reason being is because Google actually created their own font and we don’t want to get copyrighted! The closest to that font is a font called ‘Futura’ . Click here to download that font.

Open the download file, select the font and click ‘Install Font’. The font should become readily available. Back to paint we go!

Step 3: Add the text ‘Google’ and update the colors to match the Google logo

Update your color 1 and color 2 to black, choose the new font that you downloaded (IF you decided to) and set the font size to 72. By default, the font will be all one color (black) so you’ll need to update the colors to match the Google logo.

G – blue, O – red, O- gold, G – blue, L – green, E – red

To create these colors, you need to select each letter individually and then select the color you need to update the letter to. See my screenshot below to get an even better idea of what I’m describing:

NOTE: Make sure you select the letter BEFORE selecting the color. And DON’T click away from the font box or you’ll have to start over. It happened to me so many times 🙁

Step 4: Add the search box

Next, you’re going to draw your search box. Update your color 1 to gray and your color 2 to white. This one is a super simple step. After you update your colors, also update the size of your outliner to size 3px so that you don’t have a really thick outline. The square should still be selected from the first step. Now, draw your search box! Try to get it as even as possible so that is it is in the center under the google logo. It should look something like this:

Step 5: Add the buttons under the search box and the search results

Another super simple step but might require a bit of reworking. Change your color 1 to white and draw to boxes under the search box. Pretty self explanatory. No need to go into further detail.

Now, add a larger box at the bottom. This is where you’re going to place your punchline:

Step 6: Add the search term and button text

Let’s add the final touches! Change the font to Arial, size 15, and color 2 to black. Type ‘Are you Google?’ and align the text to be just inside the search box.

Then, update the font to Futura (or whatever font you used for the google logo), font size 10, bold, and change your color 1 to gray.

It should look something like this:

Step 7: Add the punch line

Change the font back to Arial, font size 15, color blue. Type out ‘Because you have everything’ and position the text somewhat in the top right corner.. leave a little bit of space (see my screenshot below). Next, change your color to green and your font size to 13. Add the text ‘I’m searching for.” and position it right under the previous text. And you’re done!! Here’s how mine came out:

You can switch it up and search for whatever you want. Have fun with it! Inside jokes are the best! Let me know in the comments how you liked this challenge. And don’t forget to try these other challenges if you haven’t already. Until next time!

Easy Tips For Creating Your Own Snapchat Geofilter in Photoshop

Need a Snapchat Geofilter for your event?

Well, you’ve come to the right place. Why pay someone to design your Geofilter when you can create your very own using these quick and easy tips? If you’re not sure of how you want to design your filter or if you just need a little bit more inspiration, check back next week. I’ll be posting some templates for all different kinds of events that you can open in Photoshop and edit to your liking. But for those who want to do your own thing, I hope these tips come in handy!

To illustrated my tips, I’m going to be creating this simple Valentines Day filter:

Tis the season to show love!

When designing your filter it’s important to keep these 3 things in mind:

  • The filter must 1080 by 1920 pixels with a transparent background (.PNG)
  • It must be under 300KB in size
  • Snapchat suggests you only use the top or bottom 25% of the screen so Snapchatters can still see their original picture behind your filter

1. Create your image using the pixels (1080 by 1920) and transparent background

Once your Photoshop application is running, Select ‘File’ > ‘New’ to open the New Document modal:

Choose the Width and Height displayed above. Don’t forget to make your Background Contents Transparent. Once you have all the values matching what I have above (boxed in red), click ‘Create’!

Your screen should look something like this..

2. Choose a font that fits the occasion/event

The font you choose is highly important. You don’t want anything too basic, but you don’t want to go over the top either! If you’re creating the filter for a wedding or a classy event, I suggest choosing a cursive elegant font.

You can find so many free fonts online. https://www.1001freefonts.com/ is the most popular site; It’s safe and easy.

For my filter, I decided to use 2 different fonts, just to give it some variety. First I added “BE MY” to the bottom right side in black. I wanted to give it sort of a see through feel so I lowered the Opacity to 71%

Next, I added an outline to my text by clicking the ‘fx’ button on the text layer then clicking ‘Stroke’… In the Layer Style modal, I chose 2px as my size and white as my color.

After that effect was applied, I added my next text. I added the word “Valentine” in pink using a cursive font and the same Layer Style as the text before (Stroke in white, 2px).

Once you have the text that you want and you like the way it looks, you can leave it like this… but what’s the fun in that?!

3. Add some brushes

You’re going to want to add some type of design if you want a dope filter and the easiest way to do that is to use brushes. With brushes, you can place them pretty much anywhere on the image and your image will look cool. You can find free brushes here: https://www.brusheezy.com/ . Sure, you’ll need to sign up for an account but it’s free! There are brushes and stocks available that you can buy, but that’s not necessary. For my filter example, I’m going to search for heart brushes..

I decided to download this pack:

Once the file is downloaded, open the zip file:

Right click on the .abr file and click ‘Open With’ > ‘Adobe Photoshop CC’

Navigate back to Photoshop. Then, using the paint tool, you’ll be able to see that the brushes were successfully added to your application.

Now you can start using your brushes! I used Sampled Brush 26. I added one gray heart and one pink heart overlapping each other.

6. Add the final touch

The last thing to do is to add the final touch, which in my case was to add a few more brushes. Go to https://www.brusheezy.com/ and take a look around; Download brushes you think look cool and try them out. If you add a brush to your filter and you end up hating it, you can always delete it. You just have to experiment. Heres how mine came out:

It’s hard to see the change I did with this transparency background but it will look so much better when there’s a picture behind it, trust me!

I hope these tips were useful! 🙂

Capricorn Season

Yep, it’s January 16th! Do you know what that means?? Not only is it Wing Wednesday but It’s Kayla’s birthday! I’m a hugeee fan of Capricorn season, if you couldn’t tell. Paint Outside The Box: Challenge Two

Back at it again with another Paint Outside the Box Challenge for you. If you haven’t attempted the first one and you’re up for the challenge, click here! This one is another easy one; probably wont take you more than 15 minutes. Give it a try and let me know how yours comes out! Open that Microsoft Paint app right now and let’s get to it! Here’s the card I’ll be showing you how to create:

“You Stole A Pizza My Heart”

1. Draw a Triangle

The first step is by far the simplest. Select black as your Color 1 (should actually be defaulted if you just opened the application) and draw a triangle on your canvas. Easy enough.. do I really need to go into more detail on this one?

2. Flip that bad boy upside down!

Yep, you need to flip your canvas. To do that, navigate to Rotate > Vertical (See screenshot below)

What the new image should look like:

3. Fill the triangle with yellow (mmmMmm.. cheeeeesy!)

Select the paint bucket in the Tools section and choose the color yellow from the color palette, setting it for your Color 1. Click inside the triangle to fill it with yellow. Your image should now look something like this:

4. Add some pepperoni!

I highly recommend that you make your pizza a pepperoni one. If you’re feeling creative and you want to go a little crazy and put mushrooms or onions, go for it! But for this example, I’m gonna stick to old faithful.

Select black as your Color 1 and select the Oval shape. (highlighted below)

Add about 3 circles inside the triangle, scattering them a bit.. Try to make them the same size. When you’re done, it should look something like this:

5. Add a little more

This is the hardest part, getting these half pepperonis to look right. If you know of an easier way of doing this step, please drop a comment and let me know. But here’s how I did it: I selected the ‘Curve’ shape. (highlighted below)

Then I drew a line directly on the outline of the pepperoni where I wanted to place it. I pulled outward on the left side of the line and then pulled outward on the right side without kicking away..

WHAT? lol make it make sense, Chels!

Just watch the video:

Try to do a couple more so the pizza will look full, don’t be stingy. When you’re done, it should look something like this:

6. Make the pepperonis come to life

Fill your pepperonis in with red. All you gotta do is select the paint bucket and the color red and volia! PEPPERONI!

Side Note: I spelled pepperoni so many different ways while making this post. Thank God for spell check. By the way, is the plural version of Pepperoni still Pepperoni or is it Pepperonis? #QuestionsThatNeedAnswers

Anyway, I digress.. How’s your pizza lookin? Here’s mine:

7. Add the crust

Now you’re gonna wanna choose a custom color for this. You want more of a beige color. So edit your colors and click around the brown, but scroll up a bit to get a lighter brown.

You can choose this exact color if you’d like

Select the ‘Rounded Rectangle’ shape (highlighted below) and then draw you crust on the top of you pizza:

Add a little extra detail by selecting the pencil and drawing 4 lines across the crust:

Yummy!

8. Add the text

Last step! Add the text – for “You Stole A” and ” My Heart” I used font Corebel, size 30. And for “PiZZA”, I used font Segoe UI Light, size 70. You can use whatever you think looks the best to you. First, place the pizza text so you get a good idea of where to place the rest.

Then place the rest of the test on the top and bottom. Try to but the close together.

Next, erase the dot above the “i” in “Pizza”, using the Eraser tool. Then select the heart shape along with whatever color you’d like your heart to be (put it in Color 2 and keep Color 1 black). Draw a lil heart to dot the i. And you’re done! Here’s how mine came out:

That was fun, wasn’t it!? Let me know how yours turned out. I’m going to start featuring them on my blog!

How to Create Dope Valentine’s Day Cards Using Microsoft Paint

untitled-4

Want to show your significant other your creative side this year for Valentine’s Day? I’m going to teach you how to create a dope Valentine’s Day card in 10 minutes using Microsoft Paint. All you’ll need is a Windows computer, a printer and some paper. That simple. Here’s what your card will look like when you’re done:

Let’s get started!

1. Choose your canvas size

Assuming you’ve already opened the application, the next thing you’ll need to do is choose a good size for your canvas. If you’re planning on printing this out on a blank stationary card, I suggest adjusting the canvas size to the same dimensions of the card you’ll be printing on. You should be able to find the dimensions on the box the cards came in. If you’re printing on computer paper, you can fold the paper however you like so any size will do just fine.

2. Select the Colors you need

You will only need 2 colors for this; I’m using pink but I think you should use whatever color your boo would like the best. The goal is to make it look like a Candy Heart. You can use any colors you want as long as you use 2 variations of the same color; one light shade and a slightly darker shade. Here are the 2 colors I chose to use ( boxed in red):

3. Select the Shape, Fill, Outline Size, and Colors for your first heart

We’re almost ready to start! Next, you need to do the following:

  • select the heart shape,
  • select ‘Watercolor’ as the fill option,
  • select 5px for outline size and
  • select your colors – Color 1 should be white and Color 2 should be your darker shade. (See screenshots below)
Select ‘Watercolor’ as your Fill
Select ‘5px’ as your outline size

4. Draw a heart on your canvas

Now you’re ready to start drawing, how exciting! Click and drag on the canvas to draw the first heart. If your heart comes out looking a lil special, just hit that delete button. Once you click away from the shape however, the shape is there to stay. If that happens and you don’t like how your heart looks, click ‘Undo’ and try again. Once you have it drawn to your liking, it should look a little something like this:

First heart looking lovely <3

5. Update your Colors and Fill for your second heart

Now it’s time to draw the second heart. First, you’ll need to update your colors to the lighter color as the main color (Color 2) and the darker color as the outline (Color 1). Also, you will need to change your Fill to ‘Oil’. See screenshots below

6. Draw another heart about same size and slightly place it above

This is the tricky part. You want to give the illusion that the heart is somewhat 3D, so you need to draw another heart about the same size and place it slightly up and to the left of the first heart. Try not to click away from the shape so you can keep working with it because it might take a few adjustments to get it right. Here’s how mine came out:

7. Add the text

Almost done, last but not least – add the text! The wording is your choice but I suggest an inside joke, something that would show bae you really thought this through. Choose the font ‘Arial’ (‘Arial Rounded’ is even better if you have it), size 30. Break the font up word by word if you can. It will make it look so much better. Here’s how my card came out:

How did yours come out? Send me snaps!

It is 8 hours of freeness! And judging by the reviews, it is highly recommend for beginners.

If you don’t mind dropping a lil bit of cheese on these courses, there are several other courses available. The good thing about Udemy is the fact that they have sales on their courses often. Currently, all courses are on sale for $9.99. New Year, New Prices! It’s the perfect time to learn something new that’s worth learning! Check out these classes below that are only 9.99:

Current Adobe Photoshop courses that are $9.99 on Udemy (Updated 1/7/2019)

Pros: Once you enroll in a course, you can complete it at your own pace and you have lifeline access to the course. Usually the instructor has a Q and A board to answer any questions you may have.

Cons: Anyone can be an instructor on Udemy, so some of them are a bit sketchy. Be sure to read the reviews before purchasing any course. It will give you a better idea of what to expect.

3. Adobe Photoshop Tutorials

Although Adobe Photoshop is not free, they somewhat make up for it by offering free tutorials on https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/tutorials.html. It’s very well put together, having all topics separated from beginner to advanced. There is also a search option, making it easy to find specific topics you’re looking for.

Pros: It is FREE! Videos are clear and they provide a written step by step guide under each video.

Cons: No cons really in my book, its actually pretty awesome.

4. Lynda

Lynda, also known as LinkedIn Learning, is similar to Udemy. The difference is on Lynda you pay a subscription fee once a month to access all the courses they provide. After doing some research, I found that this site is one of the best sites for people who want to learn photoshop for a professional use. There is a free month trial period where you gain access to 13,000+ courses with a single subscription.

You better make the most out of that trial and learn as much as you can!

After the trial, if you still would like to have access to the courses, the subscription starts at $24.99 a month and you can cancel anytime. That’s not too bad; Definitely something you should consider if you are serious about learning Photoshop.

Pros: Extremely professional courses for people who are serious about being a MASTER in Photoshop.

Cons: If you are paying $24.99 a month but not dedicated to using it to your full advantage, it could end up being a waste of money.

7. Envato Tuts+

Tuts+ is another self-paced learning site for you busy people who would like to learn in your spare time. Tuts+ does have courses you can pay for, but unlike Udemy, the selection of free tutorials is extensive!

Pros: A plethora of free courses!

Cons: I got nothin, you can’t go wrong with free courses!

I hope this helps you decide it’s time to get out there and learn how to use photoshop because IM TELLING YOU – learning Photoshop is what will make you a cut above the rest.

Valentines Day is Approaching..

In all my 29 years of living, I’ve never been that single girl who would cry her eyes out on Valentines Day. Sure, I was definitely single (and somewhat nerdy af) but Valentines day was always just another day to me. I don’t need this day to remind me how loved I am by my family and friends, I already feel the love almost everyday.

There are those super romantic couples that live their lives like the Notebook and then there are couples that are more like me – laid back. As you can probably tell, I’m not big on the overly sappy love stories. You don’t need to go all out on Valentines day with the rose peddles, cause who’s gonna clean all that up!?

But guess what! I’ve been working on Valentines Day card designs for those people who want to say “I love you” in a not so mushy way:

What do you guys think so far? You would totally buy this for your freezing cool significant other right? lol more to come..
